Of all the things that fascinate me, ‘Reflections’ tops the list. First of all, a reflection doubles the beauty of just about anything from gorgeous scenery to a barren tree. Second, its achingly perfect.Whether a bird sits peacefully or flaps its wings wildly, the reflection stays perfect. Thirdly, you could turn it around and you won’t know the real from the surreal. Like one thing completing another, like life coming a full circle, like… karma.
To me it signifies peace. If there’s reflection, peace can’t be far behind. As the Zen saying goes, ‘ we cannot see our reflection in running water. You have to wait for the water to be still.’
And it never matters how filthy the water, reflection will bring it beauty.
Reflection is an important part of life or life sweeps you in its mad flow leaving you where you never wanted to be in the first place. So begin with yourself and here’s something to reflect on. ‘ Give and you shall receive, do good and good will come to you, let go of the past and the past will let go of you’
